Clinton Township School District has achieved a remarkable national distinction, ranking 16th out of 8,147 school districts in the United States for student learning rate. The district placed in the 99.8th percentile nationally, according to data released by the Stanford Education Data Archive and Harvard's Center for Education Policy Research.
Learning rate, a measure of how much students' academic skills improve from grade to grade, is widely regarded as a more accurate indicator of school quality than average test scores. Clinton Township's learning rate of 1.54 grade levels per year means students are gaining more than half a grade level beyond typical national progress each year.
The district's performance significantly outpaces both the New Jersey state average and comparable districts, reflecting the sustained commitment of its teachers, students, and families to academic excellence.
