The Clinton Township Board of Education would like to announce the availability of an open board seat. Interested candidates must submit their name, address, phone number, and e-mail address, along with a letter of interest and a resume, for consideration no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026.

Mr. Yazici will send a confirmation email to interested candidates within 48 hours of receiving the information. If you do not receive a confirmation email within that time, please call (908) 236-7235 x2515.
Interviews will occur at the June 22nd BOE meeting at CTMS. All BOE meetings begin at 7:00 p.m.
Interested candidates must meet the qualifications under N.J.S.A. 18A:12.1. The legal requirements to become a member of a local board of education in New Jersey are as follows:
Be able to read and write.
Hold U.S. citizenship and one year’s residency in the school district.
Be registered to vote in the district.
Have no interest in any contract with, or claim against, the board.
Not hold office as mayor or member of the municipal governing body.
Not simultaneously hold two elective offices.
Not be disqualified from membership for the conviction of certain crime
The chosen candidate must serve through December 31, 2026. Anyone who wants to serve the remainder of the term through December 31, 2027, will need to run for the open seat in November, following the County Board of Elections timeline and process. More information will be posted on our website and shared in the Friday letter.
