Board of Education Appoints New Superintendent of Schools

Lebanon, NEW JERSEY – August 31, 2017 - On Tuesday evening, August 31, 2017, the Clinton Township Board of Education appointed Dr. Pamela Fiander the new Superintendent of Schools.  Dr. Fiander replaces Dr. Gina Villani who resigned after accepting a position at the Bridgewater/Raritan School District after serving as the Clinton Township Superintendent of Schools for 14 months. 

Dr. Fiander holds extensive experience, having served in Oklahoma as a public school teacher and elementary and middle school principal. In New Jersey, she was the Principal of Bernardsville Middle School and Superintendent of Warren Township and Chester Township Schools. Her experience also includes the private sector as Head of Chatham Day School and Chapin School Princeton. Dr. Fiander is a graduate of Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School; she holds a BA in Elementary Education (speech and drama minor) from Oklahoma Baptist University, where she earned the distinction asOutstanding Education Student, an M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Northeastern State University, and an Ed.D. in Educational Administration from Oklahoma State University; along with serving as an adjunct graduate school professor in at Caldwell College. 

Dr. Fiander’s service includes membership on the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey Board of Trustees, Vice President of the NJ Association of Independent Schools, Founder of the Warren Township Education Foundation, member of the Warren Township Library Board, and co-founder and producer of the award-winning Gill St. Bernard’s Community Players.
