Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC)

Effective July 1, 2018

CTSD is seeking an experienced LDT-C to join the Child Study Team.  
Requirements: Must have a NJ LDT-C Certification. Experience preferred as a Teacher and LDT-C. Experience in the administration and interpretation of evaluation instruments necessary to determine eligibility for special education and related services. Evidence of in-depth knowledge of special education programming and curriculum. Understanding of IEP process; IDEA, NJ Special Education Code. Highly skilled in communication and collaboration with families and staff.  Ability to multi-task and coordinate meetings, tasks and priorities to ensure efficient referral processes and service delivery. Preferred Criteria: Child Study Team Experience and Preschool Child Study Team Experience.

  2. Serves on appropriate curricular committees and work groups.
  3. Provides and/or coordinates professional development opportunities for staff and administrators that is consistent with the NJSLS.
  4. Consults on curriculum development, curricular revisions and modifications.
  5. Assists school district personnel with student performance and testing, including formative and summative assessments.
  6. Coordinates curriculum activities, as appropriate, at monthly faculty meetings.
